Whether you are interested in gentle rides to explore the local history and hidden valleys of the region or desire a challenging epic ride, which offers glorious views of Snowdonia, there is something here to suit the needs and desires of everyone.

There are way marked trails and maps available for those wishing to base themselves in Betws-y-Coed and an extensive network of ancient trails and bridleways dissecting the valleys and hill tops for which Ordinance Survey maps indicate rights of way for cyclists.
We also have a fantastic bike hire and repair shop in the village who also have hire electric bikes for those steep climbs if you want to explore somewhere a little more challenging than your normal routes!

Mountain biking trails

Gwydir Mawr Trail

25 kilometres, grade red

Gwydir Mawr has big climbs, big descents and brilliant singletrack. Most of the climbs are on forest roads and tracks giving time to take in the mountain views. The descents are on singletrack which varies from very tight, technical and rocky to open and flowing.

Gwydir Bach Trail

8.7 kilometres, grade red

Gwydir Bach is the little sister to Gwydir Mawr but its two big climbs lead to the best descents of the whole trail. The singletrack varies from very traditional tight, technical and rocky to open and flowing, with a few modern features thrown in.

And then for those extreme rides - including the Red Bullers amongst you there's the uplift and downhill MTB trails at Antur Stiniog
