Tyddyn Mawr self catering cottages are situated in North Wales, within the Snowdonia National Park, on a traditional Welsh speaking family run beef and sheep farm farmed since 1889, and situated within 3 miles of Conwy. The holiday cottages are set in a farmyard complex of traditional stone buildings that have been tastefully converted to a high standard.
The holiday cottages enjoy panoramic views of the Conwy Valley, and are ideally located for exploring both the mountains and lakes of Snowdonia, and the coastline, castles and numerous tourist attractions of North Wales. We have five self contained farm cottages, situated close to an angling lake and with an abundance of woodland and mountain walks on the doorstep. Set in over 120 acres of farmland, visitors can walk the footpaths on the farm and explore the private woodlands on the farm. You can experience everyday farm life as it changes with the seasons.
You will discover that staying on our farm in the Snowdonia National Park will be an experience to enjoy. The farm holiday cottages are situated close to a series of small lakes which are a haven for birds, insects and other wildlife. The lakes are a haven for birds and other wildlife. There is an abundance of woodland and mountain walks from the doorstep. Set in 180 acres of farmland, visitors can walk the paths and explore the private woodlands and wildlife on the farm. For the children there is a rustic timber multi frame play area. You can experience everyday farm life as it changes with the Seasons. Visitors can also have access to a further 250 acres of Tyddyn Mawr farm land which includes the medieval site and remains of Deganwy Castle overlooking the Estuary, and the sheep grazing areas close to the ancient Llangelynnin Old Church and Tal y Fan mountain.
Nearby is the picturesque village of Rowen, with its traditional stone cottages. A visit to Ty Gwyn Inn, Rowen or Y Llew Coch, Ty'n y Groes on Friday nights is a must. Hear and enjoy the Welsh language being spoken in the area. From Tyddyn Mawr you can forget your car, and enjoy the countryside at its best.
