Peaceful accommodation in Snowdonia
Crafnant House built in 1870 is centrally placed in the tranquil village of Trefriw, just 6 miles from Betws-y-Coed, in the heart of Snowdonia. It is an ideal central base to explore the Snowdonia National Park and Conwy Valley. Your hosts - Stuart & Jasmine - provide bed & breakfast in a relaxing place to stay, and where you can rest assured of a warm welcome.
The three stunning photographs at the top of our webpage are of Crafnant Lake - just above our village - which were taken by our guest Michael Da Silva (who has kindly allowed us to use them).
Many people choose Trefriw as their destination as they appreciate its unspoilt charm and peaceful, relaxing setting away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and crowds yet within easy reach of the busier resorts.
There are numerous areas of natural beauty to explore including the beautiful lakes which nestle just above in the wooded valleys. Many activities and attractions can be enjoyed the National Trust's Bodnant Gardens are just a short drive away. And we are just a five minute drive from SURF SNOWDONIA which is an exciting new inland surf park. And we are just 6 miles from Betws-y-Coed and 9 miles from Conwy.
More information on local activities and attractions can be found on the tabs to the top left.
From the doorstep there are many walks you can take. A short stroll over Gower footpath to the market town of Llanrwst will take just 30 minutes or you can enjoy a more strenuous walk up to the lakes and enjoy tea and cake before returning home. Trefriw Trails provide a network of footpaths all starting from our village.
At the end of your day you can park in our private car park at the rear of the property.
There are a number of places in and around the village which serve excellent food - we have The Old Ship (next door), Chandlers Brassiere, The Princes Arms & The Fairy Falls. All are just a stroll away.
