Probably the cosiest cottage in the Conwy Valley
Our 400 years old farm forge nestles on the slopes of Pen Y Gaer, the smallest of the Carneddau range. Our garden is overlooked by the Bronze Age Hill Fort carved into the top of the mountain. At the foot of Pen Y Gaer is the lush green valley of the Conwy River.
The cottage, which sleeps two, has been recently restored and retains the inglenook fireplace. The old forge itself has been replaced by a cosy, wood-burning stove - just what you need for a romantic Autumn or Winter evening or, to help you relax after a bracing walk or a day's climbing, fishing, biking or bird-watching.
For warmer Summer days there is a secluded garden with a paved area and table and chairs, to enjoy a meal in the sun or a barbecue.
On a more practical note, there is a fully-equipped modern kitchen, large, snuggly armchairs and comfortable beds, with TV/DVD in the bedroom which you can watch as you recline between cool Egyptian cotton sheets.
